Coordinator of Food Services, Cedar Lakes Conference Center

The Coordinator of Food Services has the primary responsibility of operating and managing the Cedar Lakes Dining Hall. This position is responsible for the coordination, direction and supervision of the all staff assigned to the dining hall. Additional general responsibilities include the procurement and purchasing of items required to provide food services for guests of Cedar Lakes. The Coordinator of Food Services reports directly to the Executive Director/General Manager of Cedar Lakes.

Establish good public, employee and supervisor relations.
Communicate with all food service staff and create a positive working environment.
Work cooperatively with subordinates, personnel, supervisor(s) and guests.
Perform food cost analysis and financial reporting for all food service at Cedar Lakes.
Maintain positive work habits.
Perform duties efficiently and productively.
Participate in hiring, training, disciplining, evaluating, coordinating, and terminating all dining hall employees.
Complete routine filing and maintain files.
Responsible for the orientation of all dining hall personnel.
Prepare work schedules for dining hall employees.
Plan, arrange and/or conduct in-service training as needed to provide quality food service operations.
Monitor time sheets of salaried and hourly employees.
Plan and produce a weekly menu, taking into consideration nutrition, economy, and availability to offer appealing meals to patrons.
Maintain an inventory of all equipment, furniture and items of value located at the dining hall.
Submit purchase orders for all food and other items needed at the dining hall and write specifications and receive bids for purchases.
Provide purchase order information to the Supervisor of Maintenance for repair parts, equipment, and materials for the dining hall grounds, buildings, and equipment including writing specifications bids for purchases.
Strive to ensure safe working conditions for dining hall employees, correct safety hazards and report all hazards to the Executive Director/General Manager.
Remain on call and respond to all urgent problems when contacted.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director/General Manager.
